FAQs




May I join a group lesson in the middle of a session?

Yes, you may join any group lesson that is not full and pay a prorated fee.  Please note that discounts may not be applied towards prorated sessions.


Where is the Rose Bowl Tennis Center Located?

We are located at 360 N. Arroyo Blvd. (map), adjacent to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center. You can also look for Parking Lot I at the Rose Bowl.

What is the cost for semi-private lessons?

The cost for semi-private lessons is the instructor's base rate plus $10 per extra person. For example, if an instructor charges $60/hour, and 2 people were taking the lesson, the cost would be $70/hour.


What do I need to bring to class?

All you need is a tennis racquet. We recommend you bring comfortable sporting attire and something to drink.

Do I need to bring my own tennis balls?

No, all the balls are provided.


I missed some classes, can I get a refund?

There are no refunds. However, you may make up your missed class by attending another class, provided the class is not full and 48 hour notice is given. Make ups must be completed by the end of the session.


How do I schedule a make up class?

To schedule a make up class (1) check the online schedule for times, (2) call our office 1-626-325-8366 or e-mail infoplease@rosebowltennis.com, and (3) wait for confirmation. Please place your request at least 48 hours prior to the class. 
 

Can I pay for my class on the first day of class?

No, please mail a check (payable to iTennis) to 920 Lohman Lane, South Pasadena, CA 91030. You may also pay with a credit card online or over the phone.


Are the courts at the Rose Bowl Tennis Center open for public play?

Courts 1 & 2 are open to the public at all times (except during the summer, court 2 is used from 10am to 4pm for our Summer Camp). Courts 3, 4 & 5 are teaching courts. If they are not being used for lessons, the public is welcome to use them.


Are there fees for playing on the courts at the Rose Bowl Tennis Center?

There are no fees for using the tennis courts.


Does iTennis provide scholarships?

Yes, we do provide scholarships. Our scholarships are based on requirements of the CDBG - Annual Income Eligibility schedule from the city of Housing Division. To apply, please contact Kenny James (626) 744-7509 or his assistant Valerie Carrillo (626) 744-7535
